Below is information about future Club Trips. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend up to two trips & three meetings before
being required to apply for membership;
however, visitors must seek permission from the Trip Leader before attending any trips.
The attendance list for specific trips are posted on the Club Notice Board at meetings; club members unable to sign up for a trip on these lists
are asked to phone or email the Trip Leader to advise attendance.

You MUST contact trip leaders before attending trips - Dates and activities are subject to change.
Please check that you are carrying all required equipment and are compliant to the trip requirements.
Animals on any trip must be cleared with Trip Leader before attending.

TRIP RATINGS.

SCENIC: Bitumen & Gravel surfaces; Limited 4wd’ing; Vantage points, Lookouts, Flora and Fauna of the local area; other points of interest.
EASY: Mainly off road; formed tracks; some 4wd’ing; no steep inclines or deep crossings.

MODERATE: Bush terrain; some inclines & side slopes; soft sand or mud areas, easy creek crossings.
HARD: Off Road; Rough terrain; steep inclines; steep side slopes; rough creek crossings; possible towing.
DIFFICULT: Off Road; Very Rough terrain; Very steep inclines; Steep side slopes; Difficult creek crossings; Some towing, snatching or winching.

DETAILS:

The trip will include a leisurely drive down the beach, stopping for morning tea and lunch with some swimming at lunch time for those who care to indulge.
Tides dependant, we may go down the beach and come back via the blacktop or down the blacktop and back via the beach.  More details to follow at meetings and next magazine.

Easy to Moderate with some very soft sand.

MEETING:

DETAILS:

Practical hands-on experience to learn all the do’s & don’ts and gain confidence in beach and sand driving.
Bring your lunch & drinks, sunscreen, chairs, hat, and bring your bathers for a lunchtime swim.
Particularly recommended to newer members of the club.

EQUIPMENT:

Recovery points essential - Tyre inflator a pressure gauge if you have, otherwise wait until you have done this day out to learn about the best options.

LIMIT:

10 Vehicles.

RATING:

Moderate and an excellent learning experience as well as great social and enjoyable days outing.

DETAILS:

The Night Navigation has not been run for a few years and is due for a revival - Ian Gardiner has taken the challenge to run this event with the Club Trophy for the winner. Meeting in Muchea and driving the soft sandy tracks of the Pinjar pine plantation area.
Great family night out under the stars. Needs a good navigator as well as the good driver, and some pretty smart people to figure out all the clues.

DETAILS:

Going into the South Pacific Sand Dunes to take a look at where the Sand gymkhana is to be held. Then along the beach to Lancelin and onto Wedge island. Bring your bather’s for a swim if time permits. We will travel along the beach and some inland tracks where necessary depending on conditions. This is great trip especially for newer members , and the old members as well.

EQUIPMENT: Mandatory & Essential.
LIMIT: 15 vehicles.

Easy & Scenic.

(Club Trophy Event)

DATE: Saturday - 24th & Sunday 25th March, 2012. (changed date due to Caravan & Camping Show clash)

MEETING: 9:30am Saturday Morning at Ledge Point Caravan Park.
DETAILS: This year we will doing the Sand Gymkhana over two days and camping at Ledge Point Caravan park so that its more of a relaxed and social weekend event.
Come up Friday for two night camp over or come up Saturday morning early enough to set up camp and be ready for 9:30am for the trip to the Sand Gymkhana site.
Early finish for the day and return to camp for socialization and the Saturday night. Return to Gymkhana site for Sundays events and pack up for return home.
EQUIPMENT: Mandatory & Essential.
LIMIT: NO LIMIT
RATING: Easy and enjoyable with time to relax and time to compete.
FUEL: Full Tank, fuel available at Ledge Point
